Extravagance plot

Nancy Brown is a spoiled girl who thinks the men in her life have an endless supply of money. She tries to convince her father to have a lavish wedding with numerous bridesmaids, flower girls and other props. After her marriage to Richard Vane, Nancy wants to be a leading member of society and persuades him to buy her lots of beautiful clothes. When she later also wants a bigger house, Richard goes to great lengths to realize this. In a desperate attempt to please his wife, he forges his father's name on a check.
