Exile plot

Peter Costello steals some sheep to get the dowry he needs to marry Jean, the woman he loves. As punishment, he is dropped off on a desert island. He builds a hut there and provides him with food. Then his isolation is broken when Mary, a woman from the mainland, joins him. She is lonely and is drawn to the romantic idea of the exile.
