El Amigo Alemán plot
Her Jewish parents emigrated from Germany to Argentina after the Second World War and now Sulamit grows up in the Buenos Aires of the 1950s. But not only Jews have left the country, many Nazis have also fled to Argentina. Sometimes the tormentors and their victims live very close to each other. Thus Sulamit meets Friedrich, whose father was a lieutenant colonel in the SS. The two children are good friends, but Friedrich breaks up with his family, goes to Germany and joins the emerging student movement. Years later, Sulamit follows him, but she notices that Frederick no longer wants to be with her because of his political attitude. She starts another relationship, but she can't let go of Frederick...
