Eierdiebe plot
Martin is the ambitious one in the family, but just as he wants to start his doctorate, he is diagnosed with testicular cancer. He loses one testicle, but unfortunately the disease has already spread. The doctor recommends castration to neutralize the disease, but Martin refuses to give up the rest of his manhood and prefers to undergo painful chemotherapy, with no guarantee. The cancer ward at the hospital becomes his new environment and he quickly makes friends with fellow sufferers. He even falls in love with Susanne, but does not feel completely complete. Martin suspects that the fact that he only has one ball left has something to do with it, and he and his friends decide to scour the secret rooms of the hospital in search of that one testicle.
