E Ji plot

In the 1960s, about 3,000 Chinese orphans were brought to Inner Mongolia to grow up with a Mongolian family. We get to see one of those stories here. Even though her husband disapproves of it, Qiqigema Erji takes in two Chinese children in her family who grow up in the vast grassland of Mongolia. Twenty years later, however, the children are told that they also have biological parents in Shanghai, who are now looking for their children out of guilt. However, the main character cannot get used to his new living environment and wants to return to Mongolia as soon as possible.
