Dunia plot
"Kiss Me Not on the Eyes"
Dunia is the name of a 23-year-old beauty who studies literature at Cairo University and at the same time dreams of becoming a professional dancer. She takes part in an audition for an international competition, which she wins after protesting in an original way against discriminatory attitudes towards women. There are three men in her life: in addition to her demanding dance teacher, there is Professor Beshir whom she meets during the audition and who will supervise her thesis on ecstasy in Sufi poetry. Its title is revealing: Love in Arabic Poetry. And then there is the third man, her admirer Mamdouh. She wants to keep him at a distance for a while, because will he still want to marry her when she is no longer a virgin?
