Drown plot
Near a lake where thousands of Korean War dead rest, Dowoo runs an old motel and takes care of his demented mother. One winter day, she disappears without a trace. In her place, a cute little dog shows up. Everyone helps to find the kind-hearted, somewhat shy Dowoo. But when her mother doesn't return, the rumor goes around that Dowoo may have murdered her. Is he starting to have doubts himself?
