Double Alibi plot
"IT'S MURDER!...and every suspect has an alibi!"
Stephen Wayne is suspected of murdering his ex-wife. The wisecracking journalist Sue Casey nevertheless falls in love with Stephen and she wants to help him prove his innocence. Walter Gifford, the publisher of the local newspaper and also Sue's employer, is not happy with me there, because he is in love with her. The police officer Orr is also not happy about this: he wants the prime suspect Stephen to be put behind bars as soon as possible and then given the death penalty.
