Disperatamente Giulia plot
Giulia de Blasco is a well-known journalist who is writing her autobiography. In it she pays tribute to her mother Carmen Milkovich who, shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War, married Ubaldo Milkovich, an opponent of Mussolini, the fascist leader of Italy. After the outbreak of hostilities, Ubaldo is enlisted and the lonely Carmen joins the resistance against Il Duce. She then meets the very handsome Vittorio de Blasco, a convinced anti-fascist, and experiences the great love of her life with him. Back in Rome, Carmen turns out to be pregnant and the fruit of the passion is Giulia. After a carefree childhood, Giulia, when she is an adult, gets the necessary disappointments with her lovers.
