"Truth is magic...It makes dreams come true."
John 'Dingo' Anderson, a boy from the Australian bush, decides after a meeting with blue trumpet player Billy Cross (played by Miles Davis) to become a jazz musician himself. He only manages to meet Cross again years later, but then he stops performing. 'Dingo' persuades him to perform one more time in a Parisian nightclub.
