Die Perücke plot

The office clerk Querulin is laughed at for his baldness. He buys a beautiful wig that would have belonged to a monarch. When Querulin puts on the wig, he changes into the monarch who mysteriously disappeared five years earlier. He returns to his palace where everyone receives him with amazement.
