Der Drücker plot

Tommy, 22, is broke and deeply in debt; he still lives with his parents and is constantly arguing with his father. The young man wants to get out of this life and believes he has finally found the opportunity. A job advertisement promising him 400 marks a week seems like an opportunity to him. He soon becomes acquainted with a group of printers led by Kalle. But Tommy's ideas about living in freedom are soon nipped in the bud.
