Degas and the Dancer plot

Edgar Degas has an appointment with his friend Ludovic Halevy at the Paris Opera House. This friend is writing a book about life behind the scenes of that same opera house. He wants to persuade Degas to do the sketches for his book. To do this, they sit in the foyer, where a class of ballet dancers is practicing. One of these girls is Marie, who comes into contact with Degas in a special way.
