Death Trap plot

Fashion model Carol Halston learns that her sister withdrew a million from her bank account the night before she took a heavy dose of sleeping powders never to wake up again. The money is gone and Carol goes to Paul Heindrick to ask what exactly happened. Paul was her late sister's stockbroker, but in front of his son-in-law Derek, Paul says he knows nothing about the missing amount. However, this turns out to be a blatant lie because his secretary Jean comes into possession of a receipt signed by her boss.
