De Schaker en de Dame plot

World Chess Championship in Amsterdam. A day before the grand final, the Dutch champion Thomas Sabel (Heil) declares to a TV journalist (Scherphuis) not only that he is the best, but also that women cannot play chess. Moments later, while studying the game with his coach Lehmann (Meyer), he receives a call from an unknown woman who advises him to pay special attention to the lady. The stranger challenges him to play against her in an obscure bar.
