Das Netz plot

The elderly writer Aurelio Morelli is a disenchanted man. Although critics love his books, they are rarely read. As a result, he develops feelings of hatred towards young people and their 'depraved' morality. One night he goes out with a call girl and kills her. The police have no clue about the perpetrator, only the unscrupulous sensationalist Emilio Bossi suspects him. But instead of reporting Morelli to the police, Bossi convinces him to write about the murder for his newspaper. Morelli takes the opportunity to write his memoir, in which he confesses to numerous other crimes.
