Jim is a gambling addict. He meets Marge at a boarding house and they marry. But his gambling addiction continues to cause problems in their marriage. When he runs into his old flame, Valerie, Marge leaves him. In a last-ditch effort to save his marriage, Jim accepts a job offer from successful businessman Pres Barrow, who is secretly in love with Marge. Temptations lurk, especially when a dog track opens in town.
