"She wrote the show. He made the deal. Who paid the price?"

Program maker George Washington and writer Tommy Crawford join forces to create the brand new television series 'Just Us'. The series depicts the life of African-American rascal Maurice who is adopted by a judge and her husband. James, a young father without money, is offered the lead role of Maurice. However, the success of the series quickly goes to author Tommy's head.
