Cumbite plot

The film recounts the awakening of a family feud and drought-stricken village community under the impetus of a young black man returned from Cuba, who has learned the value of communal labor in this country. The act takes place in Haiti in 1940 and there was no Castro regime in Cuba yet. The young Manuel believes that people should fight drought, hunger and poverty themselves and should not wait resignedly and dullly for a miraculous intervention by God, the gods or the spirits of the ancestors.
