"A Bad Trip Down Memory Lane"

"This must be a sick joke," stand-up comedian Joey Frisk says of his own adventures in Crying with Laughter. Fresh drink and drug infested life is the main obstacle to an international breakthrough. This tragicomedy is built around a performance in which Frisk looks furiously back on another performance in which he made a joke about an old school friend, a man who happened to be in the audience that evening. With far-reaching consequences. Suddenly, the school friend shows up everywhere Frisk appears and he unwittingly becomes involved in a kidnapping, perhaps even a murder. But is it true what the viewer sees? Frisk knows that there is an American talent scout in the audience. So how reliable are his stories really?
