Childish Things plot

"Angelique - For her, love is an act of friendship!"

After being court-martialed from the Navy, Tom Harris's life goes downhill and he turns to drink. After a drunken night on the beach, he rapes a young girl under a pier. Years later, he runs into the beautiful Pat Jennings. This turns out to be the woman he raped earlier, but she no longer recognizes her attacker. Tom begins stalking her and ends up on a recovering alcoholics commune run by Pat's father. He sees potential in the damaged Tom.
