Chatterbox plot
"ANN SHIRLEY IN A HEART STORMING STORY OF A STAGE STRUCK RED HEAD"
Jenny has always had a fascination with the stage, especially since her mother was an actress. She is secretly in love with the young painter Philip, but he is not interested in her. Phil has connections with a theater company that will stage the play "Virtue's Reward" in New York. In this play, Jenny's mother played her most famous role ever. When Phil leaves for New York, Jenny hides in his car. On the way, he discovers her and reluctantly takes her with him. Eventually she lands a part in "Virtue's Reward". But the old-fashioned play has now been somewhat reworked into a comedy. Jenny doesn't realize this and takes her role very seriously. She also thinks that Phil is in love with her.
