Chassis plot

Nora, mother of daughter Sarah, is waiting for her husband who earns a living as a truck driver. While he is away, Nora lives and sleeps under the trailers of parked trucks. She provides for her livelihood and that of Sarah through prostitution, there is no other choice for her. Nora continues to spend her day sifting through garbage and hanging out with Vilma, a cheerful lone shopkeeper, and Minda. Minda's husband has recently disappeared without a trace and is probably living with another woman.
