Challenger plot

One of the darkest moments in American space history, the catastrophic flight of the American space shuttle Challenger that killed all seven astronauts; wrapped via a lengthy original television movie (covering the seven months leading up to the doomed flight) into a patriotic epic. A view of the crew, technicians and civilians involved centered around the safety inspections using the so-called o-rings, most likely the cause of the explosion.
