Centochiodi plot
A young and brilliant professor at the University of Bologna becomes involved in a delicate matter, forcing him to leave the university. He leaves everything behind and travels to the Po Valley where he discovers an ancient ruin and decides to study it. In the area he meets various people, including new friends and relations. The professor consciously tries to change the stuffy world of his books in contact with real people.
