Everything is peaceful in the village of Etang de Thau. Two families, the Ferauds and the Messardiers, work together to catch mussels. The daughter of the Feraud family, Marinette, loves Henri Messardier, but he is a real womanizer. Then one day a foreign beauty arrives, who brings the region into turmoil in a short time.
