Bhonsle plot
In a city in the densely populated western Indian state of Maharashtra, people are getting ready for the great annual festival in honor of Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. But this also means that the tensions between the dominant population group the Marathi and the Bihari immigrants are becoming increasingly violent. Bhonsle, recently fired as a police officer, looks on with dismay.
