"Berthe"

Berthe, a beautiful young woman, has suffered from a mental illness since she was a child. A doctor has spent years trying to understand her behavior and teach her some basic concepts such as time and emotional expression. But he also tends to use her as a guinea pig and doesn't resist her parents when they decide she should get married in an effort to solve her problems. Unfortunately, the cure turns out to be worse than the ailment and Berthe's husband abandons her, leaving her more helpless than ever...
