Paul is 25 and Hélène 18. They are young people from Northern France, who met at a ball on August 15 in Douai. As their love grows, the dream of another life grows stronger. One day they decide to rob a bank in a small town. They make off with 40,000 francs and flee to the Côte d'Azur, the sun, and the sea. For a better life?
