Henry Sharpe is a suburban man and father of three children. In the wake of a traumatic event, he purchases a sophisticated security system from a mysterious man only to find that it is slowly destroying the family he most wants to protect. Soon, Henry's wife Christine Sharpe notices her behavior is changing, as are the behavior of their teenage daughter Angela and their sons Mike and Sam. Christine is attracted to her colleague Liam.
