Ashmina plot

In an impoverished country full of contradictions, a young girl is torn between her obligations to her family and the influence of foreign visitors. Thirteen-year-old Ashmina lives on the outskirts of Pokhara, Nepal. Nestled between a beautiful lake and the Himalayas, her hometown is the world capital of paragliding. Forced to skip school, she helps her family make ends meet by folding tourists' parachutes on the landing field in exchange for change.
