Akyn plot
Didar is a poet chained to his day job at a small newspaper. But in the age of mass consumption, few people are interested in poetry anymore. When he reads the story of a famous Kazakh poet of the 19th century who is executed by the authorities, he is deeply moved and sees both the harshness and the necessity of his calling. Invited to a lecture in a small town, he is torn between pain and joy, his achievements and failures.
