Açúcar plot

Full of nostalgia, wealthy Bethania Wanderley returns to her family's estate and sugar cane plantations. A conflict awaits her there: after the land, the former farm workers now want to take over the sugar cane mill and convert it into a slavery museum. Wanderley does not hesitate to give up the family possessions and continues her almost colonial lifestyle. This puts her against Zé, the leader of the workers, but also confronts her with her own past and deep-seated prejudices.
