A Notorious Affair plot

At the point of her engagement to a wealthy aristocrat, Patricia Hanley announces that she will not go through with the marriage. Her heart belongs to violinist Paul Gherardi, whom she does want to marry. Patricia sacrificed her social status to be with Paul. However, when the musician gains fame, his attention turns to Countess Olga Balakireff. Patricia's suspicion that she's made the wrong decision is heightened when she runs into an old lover.
