A Moving Image plot
“A Moving Image” is a film about gentrification in Brixton, in which fiction, documentary and performance art are intertwined. Central to this is Nina, a young oppressed artist who returns to her community after a long absence. Soon she is depicted as a symbol of gentrification. As she struggles with her own complicity, we follow her mission to create a work of art that can bring her community together. On her journey, she talks to people really affected by gentrification in Brixton. The line between reality and fiction is blurred.
