Zavtra plot
The most striking appearance in contemporary art in Russia is the radical artists' group Voina ('War'). The founders Vor ('Thief') and Koza ('Goat') walk the thin line between art and crime. Under the title 'Palace Revolution' they made a short film of the overturning of a police car, as a protest against the police apparatus that they want to turn 'upside down'. Voina, which originated from the squatters' movement, once also had two later members of Pussy Riot within the Moscow branch. The filmmaker himself does not pass judgment on their way of life and their political actions, which are regarded by the state as vandalism and sedition.
