Zákon Lásky plot
It's 2018 and Czeslaw Walek and his fellow Jsme Fér ('We are honest') activists are collecting signatures for the Marriage Equality Act. They get far more than the minimum number of signatures, and are therefore entitled to a hearing in the House of Representatives. But after this flying start, a long period of delay and aggressive opposition begins. The documentary is a portrait of the long struggle to open up same-sex marriage in the Czech Republic. Czech public opinion is massively in favor of marriage equality. Yet the courageous (and very patient) activists have to take on conservative politicians, the church and violent far-right hooligans.
