"You have to ride a pony"

Meditating in a winter landscape, a man asks his mate if he ever bets on the right horse. He doesn't, is the answer. If he bets, he bets on ponies. In an apocalyptic-looking area on the edge of the gray North Sea, David, Piet and their friends lead a wonderful parallel existence, separate from society. A life in which they make music according to their own rules and film and photograph their lives in order to review and discuss the material together afterwards. They hardly participate in the over-medialized society. Between half-demolished buildings, in deserted, misty streets or in a living room full of musical instruments, these men and women philosophize about existence in their universe, where prejudices are invariably disproved. An existence that is sometimes hell, but just as often wonderful and wonderful.
