Wei Chao plot

In 2004 Ji Dan met four children from one family at a school for migrant children in Beijing. The children, aged between 10 and 19, lived with their parents in a dilapidated shack, the tuition was paid by the school. In 2009, when she starts filming, the situation has changed: there are now three children, and in the midst of all the economic activity, they are confronted with the limited choices life offers them. In turn, the filmmaker is confronted with the chasm that yawns between her and the lowest class.
