Weapon of War plot
The history of the Democratic Republic of Congo has been marked in recent decades by numerous bloody conflicts between government armies and rebels, which have already resulted in thousands of civilian deaths. One of the horrors is widespread rape by the military. The number of women and girls who became victims of this is estimated at 150,000. In 'Weapon of War' a number of (former) soldiers tell their story. Many of them speak for the first time about the atrocities they have committed and are barely able to face their behavior. It becomes clear that the road to self-understanding and reconciliation will be long and painful.
