"A colorful expression of 1960s Latino soul"
This documentary shows the development of the colorful Latino Soul that sounded on the streets of New York in the 1960s. A new generation of musicians from Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn mixed Afro Cuban music with R&B, jazz, funk and rock to create the Latin Boogaloo. An eventful period of revolution and social awareness, in which young American Latinos went in search of their roots and cultural identity.
