Walden plot

In the forest near a monastery in Admont, Austria, the singing birds in the serene landscape are startled by the sound of a chainsaw. A spruce is knocked down and taken in the form of planks to a mysterious location in Brazil. The relationship between nature and the industrialized world is central in 'Walden', as is their eternal struggle. Slowly it becomes clear that some kind of harmony has to be found so that both can continue to exist.
