Wake Up on Mars plot

The teenage sisters Ibadeta and Djeneta are in a vegetative state in their Swedish shelter. They suffer from the so-called resignation syndrome which may be caused by their shared trauma as refugees from Kosovo. Their parents are doing everything they can to keep them alive and are now trying to get their immigration papers in order. Meanwhile, their youngest child dreams of a life far away in space.
