Vodka plot

Vodka is one of Russia's best-known export products, but the Russians themselves also like this strong drink. Filmmaker Angus MacQueen went in search of the relationship between vodka and the Russian national character. He came to the countryside, where homemade vodka flows freely at weddings, but also at funerals. He spoke to a vodka historian and recorded the election campaign of a wealthy vodka mogul. In the film he edited fragments from feature films and newsreel images in which the drink plays a role.
