Very Extremely Dangerous plot

Jerry McGill was once a promising rockabilly musician with a contract with Sun Records. But his music career lost out to his criminal ambitions: Jerry liked to rob a bank. After a turbulent period of fleeing and hiding, he ends up in prison for a long time. Today, McGill is a 70-year-old maladjusted outlaw with a drinking and drug problem who is diagnosed with cancer. In a final shot at immortality, he decides to make a musical comeback.
