Vermischte Nachrichten plot

In the form of a cinematic collage, Alexander Kluge tells a series of stories in “Vermischte Nachrichten”, which he, however, touches upon rather than formulates in full. For example, there is the story of a woman between two men, that of a woman in whose body paralysis and hyperactivity are rising and fighting each other, or that of the waiter Max, who enters into a fictitious marriage with a black African woman for 5,000 marks. But instead of leaving it at that, he begins to take a personal interest in her. When he has spent the marriage bonus on visiting her again, he tries to buy her from her pimp for three times the amount - without success.
