Veitstanz/Feixtanz plot

Historically, the phenomenon of the St. Vitus Dance (Veitstanz) first emerged in the Middle Ages, when groups of adults and children danced in public until they lost consciousness. In 1988, 13 women and men in Erfurt tried to relive the power of this ancient ritual. Dancing on chosen locations, each of them developed their own movement, without music, which they then repeated to the point of ecstasy.
