Une Fenêtre Ouverte plot
Filmmaker and author Khady Sylla worked in 1994 on a documentary about homeless psychiatric patients, who roamed the streets of Dakar. The images were overexposed and turned out to be unusable. Some of them now form the start of Sylla's second attempt at depicting madness. Meanwhile, the director herself has also suffered the pain of a deeply confused mind and has become 'on the other side'. She therefore feels akin to her main character, the expressive Aminta Ngom, who is now passing out her days - locked up in the courtyard of her family's house.
