Uit de Knipscheer plot

After 50 years, the progressive publishing house In de Knipscheer from Haarlem is closing its doors. Brothers Jos and Franc Knipscheer dedicated themselves to Dutch and foreign literature starting in the 1970s. In addition to Black and Indigenous American literature, they also published Surinamese and Antillean books. The publishing house grew into an important bridge between the Dutch-speaking reader and various Antillean writers. The film portrays Franc Knipscheer, and Curaçaoan writers look back on the harvest of 50 years of In de Knipscheer.
