Troubadours plot
After the turbulent 1960s, a new style of songs and songwriters emerged, a style of vulnerable introspection and raw, pure emotion. These young singer-songwriters came to Los Angeles to develop their work and perfect their voices. Their epicenter became an old folk club, The Troubadour. Between 1968 and 1973, The Troubadour started the careers of some of the best singer-songwriters of their generation: Carole King, James Taylor and many others. The club became a place where these songwriters inspired, found inspiration, competed and fell in love.
